Sci Fi Studios zoekt schrijvers die bereid zijn om op freelance basis te werken.

Ben je een grote Star Trek fan en je hebt talent in schrijven? Of ben je misschien zelfs een science fiction fan en je weet er alles van, dan zit je bij Sci Fi Studios goed. Zij bieden de kans om ervaring op te bouwen met professionals.

Tim Brazeal (ondermeer bekend van TrekUnited) maakte gisteren bekend dat er vacatures zijn. En ook de Nederlandse fans kunnen hier op reageren. Misschien wel een goede start om van je hobby je werk te maken?

“Sci Fi Studios is looking for writers to contribute to the content of the SFS Magazine. If you have a passion for science fiction & fantasy and enjoy writing, consider joining our team!

We are looking for fans to write a diverse range of articles and columns, across all subjects to do with the sci-fi & fantasy genre and its fandom. The positions are freelance based, to ensure that every issue of the magazine is unique and of the highest standard!

The magazine has been broken into three divisions and each division is looking for contributors, however as freelance writers, you will be free to swap between divisions as you see fit.

The topics available are:

Division: Sci Fi Studios News:

1) Reporters of Sci Fi Studios News
2) Interviewers targeting SFS professionals
3) Reviewers of the Professional stories to gauge their popularity.
4) Reviewers to gauge the popularity of fan stories.
5) Interviewers to write spotlight articles on SFS members.

Division: Features and Interviews:

1) Feature writers: make a pitch or take an assignment!
2) Interviewers for professionals from outside of SFS.
3) Writers with a specific Topic e.g. ”Spotlight on 'Of Gods and Men' “.
4) Writers with a General SF & F topic e.g. ”Where did the science go in science fiction?“

Division: Columns and Reviews:

1) Columnists on SF & F genres (ST, SW, Dr Who ...).
2) Columnists on fields of interest (fan productions, books, merchandising ...).
3) Reviewers of new movies, TV franchises, DVDs, Sci-Fi/Fantasy Books etc

Writers will be working closely with the Magazine staff and editors in order to put together a quality publication. All positions are currently unpaid but this is a great opportunity for anyone who has ever wanted to work with real professionals. The magazine will be web-based, but it is hoped that we will be able to move into print media in the future. You do not have to have had experience to join our team, just a passion for science fiction! There is a position for everybody - we need researchers as well!
